The odd time

I haven't entirely finished this narrative yet but it would be great if you could tell me what i could add or walk on.
Hope you enjoy!

I crept through the creaky door waiting for the wails of my wide eyed family but instead everything fell silent like the dark night sky. I lurked through the hallway waiting for a sound,a squeak anything, but nothing! I sat there waiting in a corner when all of a sudden  the door handle turned and a crowd of people wearing royal blue vests and gas masks walked in, i sunk behind the couch hoping they wouldn’t find me. But a young boy with dark brown hair and sparking blue eyes grabbed my arm and told me to run, is he some sort of traitor? i thought to myself, I ran to the door but before i could get there a man yelled “stop” from across the room  i kept on running. I opened the door and turned left past the outgrown hedges and then right straight down the alleyway. The wind howled like a wounded lion, the moon lit like a like a candle light, i decided to go back home and see if the people with the royal blue vest were gone, but no such thing had happen, they were still there, but this time they had bright orange body suits  on. There was an orange van parked outside so instead of going in the house i sat in a nearby bush waiting for the van to leave. A while later i saw the people in the orange suits walk out and get in the van, but there was one person missing; the young boy that helped me escape, he was gone! What had happened to him? Had he left when i wasn’t looking? Was it my fault he wasn’t there? These were all questions i hadn’t had the answer to. A while later i looked up and the van was driving away, 'finally' i thought to myself, i crept to the front door and turned the handle then walked in, i looked around everything was the same, nothing was gone or dirty. If anything it actually looked cleaner no dirt marks on the mat near the door or toys scattered on the floor by my little sister. When i walked into my room everything was the same apart from something, something different, something hidden, like someone or something was lurking in the deep dark shadows. Suddenly i heard blood curdling cries  that made my insides reach out for help. I followed the screams to a room, a room i had never seen before, how is it that I've  lived in this house my whole life but never seen this room?. I turned the handle and the door creaked open, within seconds i felt my skin crawl like a billion fire ants eating at my very flesh. I looked around and saw nothing, just darkness, i took two steps  backwards in confusion. Until i found myself standing in the blood struck door frame of the empty dark room.
